We did the unthinkable thing staying at a hotel for Lynda (Loob) and Alan's wedding in Loughborough. The hotel was chosen as it is dog friendly but was a bit 'worn out', nevertheless very comfortable with friendly staff. Breakfast was a buffet affair with loads of bacon, scrambled egg, sausages, mushrooms, hash browns- at least that's what I had and it served the purpose of not needing lunch! Di, as usual couldn't face anything other than toast, what a waste.
Back to the wedding- it was held on the University Campus hotel..... bit of a problem as dogs were banned and I needed to get Tim out of the car periodically for a break and a pee. It worked out OK as it was dark with the security cameras obviously not working or the guard was asleep!
I must admit to preferring modern marriages away from churches, they're so much more friendly happy ceremonies. The reception food and drink was superb, unfortunately I could only have one glass of red wine as I was driving.
