For the last 2 weeks I've been struggling with a very sore right eye. The optician sent me to the eye hospital where it was confirmed I had scratched the cornea, probably with my contact lenses. So it was back to specs but they were a few years old and not giving me a clear distant image plus for close work I needed to remove them with a viewing distance of 6 inches! To say the least I struggled with using the laptop and night driving was very difficult.
I thought it would be a good idea to have an eyesight test after 9 days of specs. It confirmed my suspicions that the specs were way out but the new ones would take 2 weeks plus the scratch on my cornea had not healed sufficiently to support a contact lens- Arrgh, carry on with specs and watching rubbish television!!!!!!!!
Today was the first full day of clear vision with contact lenses back in all day- marvellous. So now I can type again and catch up.
