It hasn't changed much, just a few shops gone and replaced by others.
Polly Tea Rooms are still there and still charging silly prices for tea and cakes! We had a picnic lunch in the nearby Savernake Forest- the place where we first caravanned for a few years before going to a nearby CL at Clench Common.

After lunch we made our way to Clench Common, hoping to find our old friends, Albert & Shirley, who own the CL but there was no sign of them. We guessed, correctly, that Albert would be out harvesting as he and his grandson Thomas pulled into the field in tractors towing 10 ton trailers. It was really good seeing them again, Albert still working well into his 70's and Tom who we remember from a baby. Tom is now married and living in the cottage a few 100 yards away. We had a cup of tea with Tom and saw his Springer Spaniel pup, just 6 weeks old.
Back at Albert's we had a chat in the kitchen and were just about to leave when Shirley came back from shopping. It was just like old times exchanging news.
That's about the end of our news for today.
