I'll let the experts tell you the history of the gardens, see

Photo middle above is a bell without a clanger! I guess if it had one everyone would try to ring the bell, whereas this way only the staff can use it at closing time by using a hammer.
Now is this a rhododendron or an azalea? I haven't got a clue, my total gardening knowledge is how to dig holes for the plants! I know the yellow one is an iris as it was growing in the Iris garden!!
We walked for 3 hours and still only covered half the gardens, but that with our previous long walk has seriously injured Di's left foot, so much so that we will be confined to the MH and surrounding pitch for the next few days.

Lovely photo's. I hope Di's foot heals well as I'm sure it's going to be tough staying oput when there is so much to see. The gardens look beautiful! Have a wonderful weekend,
Iz
Iz, thanks for the good wishes, Di's foot is improving slowly. Life is one long weekend when you are retired!
