FARM SITE

Today we travelled the vast distance of 50 miles to a farm site near Okehampton, not knowing what we would find. We were very pleasantly surprised as the owners had obviously spent a lot of time and money preparing the site with hard standings, fresh water supply and (free) wifi for each of the 5 pitches. Additionally the private woods have paths mown for easy walking- ideal for Di! A real gem at £12 per night.
We had a short walk with Tim and saw a fox ahead of us. Tim transformed into a snarling wild animal, unlike anything we have ever seen before, trying to beat the land speed record, up to the limit of his 8M lead! Obviously something in the breed triggered by the scent of the fox. Di said if she hadn't been with me she wouldn't have believed it of such a loveable, placid dog.

I can see it without binoculars mum!

Looks like a great spot and you're not suffering big crowds. This is the kind of spot we would like...

Good thing Timmy was on the leash, foxes can be very vicious as I am sure you know. We hear them snarling outside our windows at night...

I'm glad Di's foot is getting better so she is able to contemplate enjoying some walks now.
