HANLEY DUCK!

Yesterday Tim and I walked to Hanley Swan, about a mile I guess as it took three quarters of an hour, with lots of stops for the necessary doggy sniffs! Di still has problems with her feet so it was just Tim and I walking to the village. We saw no swans only ducks and a jackdaw, hence the title "Hanley Duck".

On route, we passed the church of Our Lady & St Alphonsus.

As an experiment, I decided to reduce the film speed to 80ASA from my usual 200 with the idea it may give a higher quality image. However, I doubt there will be any difference on this blog, as I rescale all photos to 1024x768 for ease of loading and to reduce space. On reflection, I should have taken some on 200ASA for comparison- ah well, next time. Photo right is the local pub, appropriately named "The Swan". I think we'll try a meal there next week as it's dog friendly.
