About 5 miles from our site is Roadford Lake, a man made reservoir constructed about 1989. With over 730 acres of water, Roadford Lake is a spectacular lake set on the edge of Dartmoor between Okehampton and Launceston. As you can see the water level is quite low.
We walked about a mile, a long distance for Di after her last fiasco with her big toe nail loss! All seems OK again with no injuries. There are miles of walks around the lake and through the adjoining forest, waiting for us to explore on another occasion, plus a visitors centre with the most scrummy icecream!
