As the title suggests, this is our last this year. Brockenhurst is one of our favourites, not a vast distance from home being a mere 130 miles, but takes 4 hours as the roads aren't good and most have speed limits of only 40 or 50 mph! That means an early start, getting up at 6.30am to be away by 8am and hopefully, first in the queue for a good pitch at 12 noon!
Traffic in Lyndhurst delayed us by about 30 minutes, but we still managed to get a pitch in the spot we enjoy on site. We like to have either trees or a hedge behind us, but care is needed to choose a pitch away from oak trees at this time of year - falling acorns sound like gun shots on the roof!
Timmy really enjoys this site with the open heath just outside the site entrance. He loves chasing his ball on a rope which gives him a lot of exercise, without me having to walk great distances!!
