RINGWOOD, MILFORD ON SEA, KEYHAVEN

On the 19th we had a look at Fordingbridge. Now when I say a look, I mean just a glance as there's nothing to see, other than a bridge and a few shops! So we headed for Ringwood, a much bigger town with a market to browse.
I grabbed a photo of a butterfly, probably a Red Admiral. I'm no expert but it does seem unusual for mid October.

On the 22nd, we went to Milford on sea where we picnicked overlooking the Isle of Wight, before having a stroll along the sea front with those curious beach huts. I think our garden shed is bigger! Yes, people were using them in the bitterly cold wind - I was equally astonished to see a young girl shed a robe and wade into the sea for a swim, brrrr.
We then pressed on to neighbouring Keyhaven where there were many sea birds feeding on the mudflats. We intend to return in a few days, weather permitting, with Di's binoculars to identify them.
Also there's a good walk along the shingle spit to Hurst Castle which is reckoned to be interesting.
