LLANDUDNO

We expected yet another 'candy floss' town but no, this is quite a sophisticated place. Quite by accident found a car park right on the beach! So out with the folding chairs to enjoy the view and sunshine. The top photo was taken from my sitting position with, bottom right, the tip of my trainer on a rock!
After lunch we explored the promenade and identified that we were on the South side of the town. The mountainous bit is known as 'The Great Orme' with Landudno straddling each side.
The desire to get to the top of it overcame us, so we set off in the car only to find a private road with posh houses and a dead end- well the signs did say so, but we didn't believe them!
Ok satnav this is not the centre of the town so re-calculate and get to the other side.
Wow, a Victorian town with a very wide promenade and no candy floss as far as the eye can see!

We tried to drive to the top of the Great Orme but never seemed to find the right road. Ah well, a project for next year.
