We arrived in Llanwrst on Sunday 22 September. Previously,
at home, yet another domestic appliance failed, this time the tumble dryer, the
time before it was the washing machine! A quick thrash on the internet yielded
a replacement with next day delivery. Peace again restored in the household!
Back to the camp site, perhaps I’m getting cantankerous, but
I really object to people using my pitch as a shortcut. It’s just plain bad
manners, so I told them! It would appear that a plummy accent and an opinion on
every subject under the sun entitles one to ignore other’s privacy.
After 30 years of camping we recognise certain signs of
potential disturbance- awnings and “we’ve brought our friends”. This can only
mean one thing, lots of wine and voices increasing in volume as the wine gets
consumed. Awnings offer no noise insulation but the inhabitants assume they’re
at home in a house.
As you’ve probably guessed, Mr Plummy and friends fell into
this category, hence I’m well versed in his repertoire! Fortunately he departed
after 2 days, peace again!
Rant over; the campsite is one of our favourites, well kept
with mains water and drainage on each pitch, plus very friendly hosts. It also
boasts 2 dog walks for Timmy!
It was a misty day when we went to Llandudno. Photo below is the high street with the usual mix of people in shirt sleeves and padded jackets!
