Our route today included the Jacobite monument at Glenfinnan, which is on the Road to the Isles. Tim and I walked to the base to find a spiral staircase leading to a viewing platform. He's quite good with stairs, so I kept saying "up, up" and we eventually reached the top only to find an opening about 24" square. I reckoned he could make it if I could! I lifted Tim and scrambled through the hatch door above us. Wow, fantastic views and photo opportunities but getting down was another challenge so I carried Tim back down, fortunately nobody was coming up. I wonder just how many dogs have made it to the top!
