2nd STOP - DURHAM

Once again we set off in the rain. As per the plan we went North 200 miles to Durham Caravan Club site, again we expected traffic noise and certainly got it. Fortunately we are only here for 5 nights and will be out for a lot of the time.
When we arrived the rain had cleared to a hot sunny day with a temperature of 26C- such a change from earlier. Our pitch is on the quieter part of the site but that's only by a gnat's whisker! However it is almost perfectly level and close to a service point.
Di got to thinking about our next locations in Scotland realising just how much we enjoyed Garlieston so we did a quick change of location- easy with Internet booking!
The afternoon was too hot to do much other than to sit in the shade and for Di to rest her painful ankle.
Lots of history of Durham here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Durham
Far better description than I can do!
