After lunch we went to Alston, just a small village but set in the middle of some spectacular scenery, if we could have seen it! On route it rained, yet again, with visibility down to around 500 yards. We wandered around the village then drove to Haltwhistle, another village but didn't stop. One of Di's distant relations was station master here many moons ago!

ANOTHER RAINY DAY
After lunch we went to Alston, just a small village but set in the middle of some spectacular scenery, if we could have seen it! On route it rained, yet again, with visibility down to around 500 yards. We wandered around the village then drove to Haltwhistle, another village but didn't stop.
