YORKSHIRE DALES

Another early'ish start complete with packed lunch and a spin south down the M6 brought us to Hawes in the Yorkshire Dales. It was raining, then we're quite used to that so were quite prepared to get wet yet again! After a wander around the town we went to the Wensleydale Creamery where Di bought some cheese to take back for our two neighbours.
We then set off north towards Penrith via the Buttertubs Pass, stopping for lunch overlooking Hawes and passed through Thwaite, Kirkby Stephen where we had a coffee from a newsagent!
Next destination was Penrith for petrol and back to our base at the site. Overall, I suppose we had 50% rain but did see some good scenery on route.
