It being market day in Pickering and Di suffering withdrawal symptoms, guess where we went! Neither of us could remember the town itself, other than having been there many years ago for a trip on the North Yorks Moor Railway, and were surprised at what a nice little place it is.
The weather was almost too hot for serious shopping but Di did manage to have her hair cut!
After lunch we moved on to Helmsley, a very pretty little town complete with castle ruins, whose main claim to fame is that Di's great uncle Jim was station master there in the year dot!
