Minehead

Minehead is about 25 miles north of our location on the North Somerset coast overlooking the Bristol Channel with South Wales on the opposite side.
We arrived just before lunch time, had a wander around, took some photos with my new camera and bought Tim a monster size tennis ball! The theory is that he won't be able to get his mouth around this one making it last longer than one day.

Two days ago (Wednesday) we went back to the Motorhome dealer to get the electric tyre inflator replaced and then went onto Taunton. Shops, shops and more shops and oh dear, a camera shop. Well, I went in with my usual quest for a compact camera with an optical viewfinder- as far as I could see they no longer exist but the salesman produced one, a new model. Damn, it has everything I was looking for, perhaps a little too large but it had everything else I wanted. Needless to say I bought it!

Back at the MH I got stuck into the start up manual, yes all ok here but what about the advanced features? They were detailed on a CD. I don't have a CD drive on the lappy and the camera was too new to have it on the Canon web site- I'm stuffed but had an idea the site warden may be able to transfer the CD to my memory stick. After a bit of fiddling it worked so now I'm trying to master all the bells and whistles.
While we were in Taunton I also bought an Orange dongle so we can use the internet on site.
