As we were so close we just had to go to Blackpool. What can you say about it? It has a tower and when you’ve said that you’ve said it all. I contemplated going up to the viewing platform complete with its glass floor with a drop of 500ft below. Then I remembered the last tower I went up and that clinched it! No thanks.
By now it was raining again, so we drove slowly along the sea front with the camera ready to grab shots of the illuminations (not illuminated!) and the roller coaster.
We then continued on to St. Annes where Di, as a child, used to spend family holidays & Timmy, at long last had a chance to run on the beach.
