Friday 2nd May- My amateur radio friend Dave GW3WCV and his partner visited us at the campsite. We chatted about the problems of setting up a portable long distance amateur radio station from a car or motorhome and then went to a beach cafe for lunch where we sat outside under a shelter which was a good move as the weather quickly changed with a downpour of rain.
Sunday 4th May- We went to Clevedon- see photo. Another town on the Bristol Channel with a promenade along the sea front and a pier but not a beach that you would want to walk as it was all mud and large rocks. Timmy looked longingly a it! We stopped for an ice cream and gave some to Timmy- his first taste. On Monday we decided to have a day spent locally as it was a Bank Holiday with predictable traffic everywhere. We went to the local beach, Berrow, but it was not a good idea as there were many cars and families enjoying the sands- this is a problem for Timmy as he wants to play with everyone, not always welcomed! Eventually we walked to an area where cars were prevented from entering due to soft sand and let Timmy loose to run with some other dogs.

He ran for about 5 minutes, was completely exhausted and then ready to return to the motorhome for a sleep in the sun.
